Websites and social media are flooded with South Asian weddings—Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and many more vibrant cultures. What you see increasingly is the beautiful blend of mixed South Asian weddings, which I find truly fascinating. I have had the privilege of photographing Indian weddings for quite some time now, and one thing I have consistently observed is the smooth and loving manner in which the Indian family welcomes the bride—or in this case, the groom. It’s not only the couple who are warmly embraced; it’s the entire extended family from both sides! For instance, the "Milni" is a traditional Indian wedding ceremony, particularly cherished within Sikh and Punjabi communities, where the groom’s family and the bride’s family meet and are formally introduced to one another. These celebrations span multiple days, filled with gatherings, heartfelt introductions, and the beautiful sharing of cultures. Many might think it’s all about the vibrant colors and grand celebrations, but I often choose to photograph in black and white to truly capture the genuine, heartfelt moments that shine through. While the weddings are filled with numerous traditions and rituals, what draws me most to them is that despite the similarities in customs, the opportunities to find authentic, unique, and abundant moments remain endless.

Combining elegance within an intimate wedding setting is simply a natural and effortless thing. It’s about capturing genuine, heartfelt moments that often feel like posed pictures but are anything but staged. The true magic lies in setting the perfect tone from the very beginning, with both the bride and groom not only understanding my discreet and unobtrusive approach but also deeply respecting the integrity of this genuine, authentic process. This is unscripted storytelling, a true reflection of one incredibly beautiful day.
As a Montreal wedding photographer, I have had the privilege and opportunity to photograph at many of the iconic and charming locations that Montreal and its surrounding areas offer. Pointe-Claire is one of those remarkable neighbourhoods, where new angles, unique lighting conditions, and most importantly, the vibrant energy of the couple shine brilliantly through the wedding images.
